Privacy policy / UK GDPR
What information we process, why we use it and how you can exercise your rights.
Version: 17 October 2026
1. Controller and contact
SoulShive.com is operated from the United Kingdom. For data enquiries use the Contact form and relevant category or the support email published on the site. This page does not disclose the administrator’s home address; any legally required trading identity details must be available through an appropriate channel.
2. Accounts and authentication
We may process username, email, account identifier, hashed password and profile settings. For third-party sign-in we receive the data permitted by Steam or Facebook under the integration and provider settings. We use this information for authentication, security and account operation.
3. Servers, communities and Marketplace
We may store server IP:port, names, descriptions, images, historical stats, votes, claims, profile names and published content. Messages and reports may be retained as needed for delivery, administration and abuse investigations. Public posts can be visible to visitors and search engines.
4. Boost, donations and payment records
For Boost we store order, tier, server, amount, currency, date, payment status and transaction references needed for activation and refunds. Card details are entered into Stripe Checkout; SoulShive does not need to store full card numbers or CVCs. Voluntary Revolut donations are separate. Marketplace payments are arranged by users and are not processed by SoulShive.
5. Technical data and security
Technical logs may include IP addresses, timestamps, user agent, pages or actions requested and sign-in events. We use them for fraud prevention, spam control, security and troubleshooting. Some data comes automatically from devices, browsers, Cloudflare or game-server queries.
6. Purposes and lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we process data to provide requested services (accounts, listings, Boost), comply with legal obligations (financial records), pursue assessed legitimate interests (security and abuse prevention) or on consent (certain optional analytics and cookies). Consent is not the default legal basis for all processing.
7. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Strictly necessary cookies support login and security. Optional SoulShive analytics and partner attribution depend on the choices offered in Cookie settings. If Google ads are enabled, they may use separate technologies which must be controlled by the appropriate regional consent mechanism. Our own banner is not automatically a substitute for a Google-certified CMP.
8. Sharing and providers
Data may be shared as necessary with hosting, Cloudflare/CDN, email delivery, Stripe, identity providers and enabled advertising partners. Public content is publicly visible. We do not sell a database of users to advertisers. Valid legal requests may require limited disclosure.
9. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, transfers must be covered by appropriate safeguards such as adequacy arrangements or contractual protections. Contact SoulShive for further information about relevant providers.
10. Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as needed for services, security, dispute handling and legal duties. Account data is reviewed when an account is closed; tax and payment records may need longer legal retention. Actual periods must be checked against scheduled deletion jobs and backups before launch.
11. Your rights
Subject to UK GDPR conditions you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Rights are subject to exceptions. We may verify identity where necessary and respond within the legal period, generally one month subject to permitted extensions.
12. Security, children and complaints
We use access controls, session protection and HTTPS, but no online service is risk-free. The account minimum age is shown during registration. Contact us about suspected data issues. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
